X SIGHT REVIEW
Great looking glasses with easy to change the lenses. The lenses are useful for all kinds of weather conditions. I have found that they have really helped me focus and aim. They have allowed me to shoot in all conditions how I want without the sun hindering my performance.
AN INTERVIEW WITH MAIKEL
When did you get into archery?
I shoot now for about 23 years with a stop of 12 years because of back injuries.
At first, I began shooting recurve because that was what my father was shooting.
After a year of training, I began shooting with the Dutch squad juniors.
This time was great!!! But then the injuries began……
Now I shoot compound and everything goes very well.
What do you enjoy most about archery?
What I like is that I become really calm.
What has been your most memorable experience to date?
My most memorable experience was the head 2 head in Veldhoven. I still remember it now.
My first national adult tournament on my 16th birthday. I finished with a silver medal on a really strong player field.
What would be your best advice to upcoming archers?
Work beats talent!
What do you get up to when you’re not shooting?
I’m also a motorcycle enthusiast, so I like to ride when I can. Also, my family is very important to me.
