AN INTERVIEW WITH MATTHIEU
When did you get into archery?
I have been practicing archery since the age of 6 years.
My father led me into the sport. He took me one evening to the shooting range to try it and I tremendously appreciated it. So much so I asked my father when how soon can I try it again. It has been now 18 years since I started archery.
What do you enjoy most about archery?
What pleases me most about archery, is the concentration you need to give every arrow during the shot and through execution before it hits the target.
What has been your most memorable experience to date?
My most unforgettable experience was when I participated in the selection for the European Championship 2017.
What would be your best advice to upcoming archers?
It is necessary to persist and to continue the training to become better.
What do you get up to when you’re not shooting?
When I not shooting I like to work out in the gym and run.
